1. Agreement
By downloading, accessing, or using ManaSplit, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be legally able to enter this agreement and meet the minimum age required in your country.
2. What ManaSplit provides
ManaSplit provides tools for shared expense tracking, messaging, media sharing, audio and video calls, optional AI assistance, nearby delivery, backups, and account security. Features may vary by device, operating-system version, region, permissions, and service availability.
We may change, suspend, or discontinue a feature to improve the product, comply with law, or protect users. We will provide reasonable notice when practical for material changes.
3. Accounts and security
You are responsible for accurate account information, protecting your devices and credentials, and activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. Linked devices act with access to your account until removed, so review them regularly.
You may delete your account in the app. Group owners may need to transfer ownership or resolve identified blockers first so deletion does not strand a shared group.
4. Your content and license
You keep ownership of content you create or share. You grant ManaSplit a limited, non-exclusive license to host, transmit, process, resize, encrypt, and display that content only as needed to provide, secure, and improve the service. This license ends when the content is deleted from our active systems, subject to backup cycles and legal retention.
You are responsible for having the right to share your content and for the people you invite. Do not upload content that is unlawful, abusive, exploitative, infringing, deceptive, or harmful. Our Community Standards form part of these Terms.
5. Expense information is not a payment service
Balances, conversions, receipt parsing, suggestions, and AI explanations can be incomplete or wrong. Group members are responsible for reviewing entries and resolving disputes. ManaSplit does not provide financial, tax, accounting, or legal advice.
6. Calls, emergency use, and location
ManaSplit calling is not a telephone replacement and cannot reach emergency services. Do not rely on it for emergencies. Location sharing occurs only when you choose to send a location and should not be used as a safety-monitoring service.
7. AI features
AI output may be inaccurate and should be checked. ManaSplit labels the processing route where the app supports it. Do not use AI output as professional financial, legal, medical, or safety advice. You remain responsible for actions you take.
8. Acceptable use
You may not:
- Harass, threaten, exploit, impersonate, or endanger another person.
- Share illegal content, intimate content without consent, child sexual abuse material, malware, scams, or material that violates another person’s rights.
- Probe, disrupt, overload, scrape, reverse engineer beyond rights provided by law, or evade security and rate limits.
- Use automated accounts or the service to send spam, unwanted calls, or abusive notifications.
- Misrepresent balances or use ManaSplit to facilitate fraud or illegal financial activity.
We may restrict content or accounts when reasonably necessary to protect users, the service, or comply with law. Report urgent safety issues to local authorities first and then contact safety@manasplit.app.
9. Intellectual property
ManaSplit, the woven Muggu mark, product design, code, and related materials are protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not transfer our ownership. Apple and other third-party names and marks belong to their owners.
10. Suspension and termination
You may stop using ManaSplit or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for material or repeated violations, unlawful activity, security risk, or nonpayment of any future paid service. Where appropriate, we will provide notice and an opportunity to appeal.
11. Disclaimers and limits
To the maximum extent allowed by law, ManaSplit is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not promise uninterrupted operation, perfect accuracy, or permanent availability of locally stored content. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so they may not apply to you.
To the maximum extent allowed by law, ManaSplit will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost data, lost profits, or disputes between group members. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
12. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend and indemnify ManaSplit from claims arising from your unlawful use, your content, or your violation of these Terms or another person’s rights.
13. Governing terms and disputes
Applicable consumer-protection law remains in effect. Before filing a claim, contact us so we can try to resolve it informally. These Terms are governed by the laws that apply to your relationship with ManaSplit, without depriving you of mandatory rights in the place where you live.
14. Changes
We may update these Terms. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice for material changes. Continuing to use ManaSplit after the effective date means you accept the revised Terms where permitted by law.
