1. Agreement
By downloading, accessing, or using ManaSplit, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be legally able to enter this agreement and meet the minimum age required in your country.
2. What ManaSplit provides
ManaSplit provides tools for shared expense tracking, messaging, media sharing, audio and video calls, optional AI assistance, nearby delivery, backups, and account security. Features may vary by device, operating-system version, region, permissions, and service availability.
We may change, suspend, or discontinue a feature to improve the product, comply with law, or protect users. We will provide reasonable notice when practical for material changes.
3. App Store license and Apple terms
The application is licensed, not sold. When you download ManaSplit from the App Store, the Apple Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies to the application license unless the App Store listing identifies a custom EULA. These Terms supplement that license for ManaSplit accounts, content, communications, and services.
These Terms are between you and ManaSplit, not Apple. ManaSplit is responsible for the application, support, product claims, and service-specific obligations described here. Apple has no obligation to provide ManaSplit maintenance or support. The license restrictions, warranty process, external-service provisions, and third-party beneficiary terms in Apple’s Standard EULA remain in effect.
4. Accounts and security
You are responsible for accurate account information, protecting your devices and credentials, and activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. Linked devices act with access to your account until removed, so review them regularly.
You may delete your account in the app. Group owners may need to transfer ownership or resolve identified blockers first so deletion does not strand a shared group.
5. Your content and license
You keep ownership of content you create or share. You grant ManaSplit a limited, non-exclusive license to host, transmit, process, resize, encrypt, and display that content only as needed to provide, secure, and improve the service. This license ends when the content is deleted from our active systems, subject to backup cycles and legal retention.
You are responsible for having the right to share your content and for the people you invite. Do not upload content that is unlawful, abusive, exploitative, infringing, deceptive, or harmful. Our Community Standards form part of these Terms.
6. Expense information is not a payment service
Balances, conversions, receipt parsing, suggestions, and AI explanations can be incomplete or wrong. Group members are responsible for reviewing entries and resolving disputes. ManaSplit does not provide financial, tax, accounting, or legal advice.
7. Calls, emergency use, and location
ManaSplit calling is not a telephone replacement and cannot reach emergency services. Do not rely on it for emergencies. Location sharing occurs only when you choose to send a location and should not be used as a safety-monitoring service.
8. AI features
AI output may be inaccurate and should be checked. ManaSplit labels the processing route where the app supports it. Do not use AI output as professional financial, legal, medical, or safety advice. You remain responsible for actions you take.
9. Subscriptions, feature allowances, and Mana Credits
ManaSplit offers free feature allowances, auto-renewable plans, and consumable Mana Credit packs. The purchase screen shows the localized price, billing period, included allowances, renewal terms, and any introductory offer before you confirm. Apple processes each purchase under your Apple Account. ManaSplit does not receive your full payment-card number.
A subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it through your Apple Account at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Apple charges the renewal to your Apple Account. Included feature allowances reset on the schedule shown for your plan and do not roll over. Changing plans may change your available allowances when Apple makes the new subscription effective. Safety, abuse-prevention, and service-protection limits still apply to every plan, including Max.
Mana Credits are consumable digital units for the eligible features and credit costs shown in the app. Purchased credits do not expire, have no cash value, cannot settle an expense balance, and are not transferable at launch. A canceled, failed, duplicate, or rejected operation does not consume credits. A refunded or revoked purchase may remove the credits or access it granted, subject to applicable law. Apple handles purchase refunds under its policies.
You can restore eligible subscriptions in ManaSplit and manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple Account settings. Deleting the app or your ManaSplit account does not cancel an Apple subscription. Cancel the subscription with Apple before deleting your account if you do not want it to renew.
10. Third-party services
ManaSplit uses or connects to services operated by Apple, Google, Firebase, LiveKit, Expo, and optional security providers. Their availability and terms may affect a feature. You must comply with applicable third-party terms, including your wireless-data and internet-service agreements when using calls or nearby features. ManaSplit is not responsible for third-party services outside our control.
11. Acceptable use
You may not:
- Harass, threaten, exploit, impersonate, or endanger another person.
- Share illegal content, intimate content without consent, child sexual abuse material, malware, scams, or material that violates another person’s rights.
- Probe, disrupt, overload, scrape, reverse engineer beyond rights provided by law, or evade security and rate limits.
- Use automated accounts or the service to send spam, unwanted calls, or abusive notifications.
- Misrepresent balances or use ManaSplit to facilitate fraud or illegal financial activity.
We may restrict content or accounts when reasonably necessary to protect users, the service, or comply with law. Report urgent safety issues to local authorities first and then contact safety@manasplit.com.
12. Intellectual property and feedback
ManaSplit, the woven Muggu mark, product design, code, and related materials are protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not transfer our ownership. Apple and other third-party names and marks belong to their owners.
If you send product ideas or feedback, you give ManaSplit permission to use them without restriction or compensation. This does not transfer ownership of content you create in the service.
13. Suspension and termination
You may stop using ManaSplit or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for material or repeated violations, unlawful activity, security risk, or nonpayment of any future paid service. Where appropriate, we will provide notice and an opportunity to appeal.
14. Disclaimers and limits
To the maximum extent allowed by law, ManaSplit is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not promise uninterrupted operation, perfect accuracy, or permanent availability of locally stored content. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so they may not apply to you.
To the maximum extent allowed by law, ManaSplit will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost data, lost profits, or disputes between group members. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
15. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend and indemnify ManaSplit from claims arising from your unlawful use, your content, or your violation of these Terms or another person’s rights.
16. Export and sanctions compliance
You may not use or export ManaSplit in violation of United States export-control or sanctions laws or other applicable trade laws. You represent that you are not located in a prohibited territory or listed on a government restricted-party list where use would be unlawful.
17. Governing terms and disputes
Applicable consumer-protection law remains in effect. Before filing a claim, contact us so we can try to resolve it informally. These Terms are governed by the laws that apply to your relationship with ManaSplit, without depriving you of mandatory rights in the place where you live.
18. Changes
We may update these Terms. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice for material changes. Continuing to use ManaSplit after the effective date means you accept the revised Terms where permitted by law.
